Lets pray for Chiwenga WE NEED HIM.

Image
Hard ,strange and even undesirable for some to accept the undeniable fact that Zimbabwe political system needs a Chiwenga for it to gain some semblance of democracy and  balance. This is mainly because practical democracy is only possible upon the foundations of Montesquieu’s dogma of separation of powers. The doctrine of separation of powers dictate that political power has to be divided between the executive ,legislature and judiciary in order to avoid concentration of power at one centre that would surely lead to dictatorship. Tyranny and  misrule we witnessed during the Robert Mugabe was enabled by the one centre of power politics. With Robert no one could balance it from ZANU PF to ZDF to Parliament from 2000  onwards. For he owed nothing to no one while everyone in government ,ZDF or party owed their position and status to him in one way or the other. He could hire and fire whoever whenever and  however. Robert unlimited and absolute one centre of power pe...

Neoliberalism & Austerity a twin attack on democracy development & Zanu PF Ideology

NEOLIBERALISM & AUSTERITY A TWIN  ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY; DEVELOPMENT & ZANU PF IDEOLOGY. The adoption of neoliberalism as the guiding ideology of state development by the President Mnangagwa has led to a lot of structural changes within the state The new dispensation shift of ideology from  left to right/ Marxist Leninism{Gwara Remusangano} to Neoliberalism is of paramount importance as ideology guides state action and behavior through a veil of engrained beliefs, assumptions and opinions entrenched within the ideology. The shift can only be likened to a conversion of a Christian to a Muslim. But the ease and speed in which the transition to neoliberalism has been made is striking. But, what is Neoliberalism? Neoliberalism refers to the idea of establishing a minimal state {small government} with free market  principles. It basis its argument on the Laissez Faire principles that the economy works best when left alone by government. Business people should do wh...

ED's REENGAGEMENT NOT AN END

Image
Reengagement reconciliation the art of easing tensions with former hostile states have been at the heart of the ED's new dispensation representing a radical shift in foreign policy preferences ,along with it has been a wild expectation that by engagement all critical problems of the state would have been put to the guillotine. This expectation   arose from a politicized   propagandized and hyperbolized definition of both the Zimbabwean problem and the Zimbabwean solution .For years the   Zimbabwean public mind has   been radicalized to believe only two alternatives, first the Zimbabwean problem was explained to be emanating from external states who desire   to undermine our sovereignty   and decapitate our economy through sanctions secondly it was explained by the opposition as coming from mismanagement ,dictatorship and disregard for rule of law. As a solution both alternatives believed that reengagement was the solution but the previous regime nev...
